The Enchanting Central Park During Snow Blizzard #Jonas

Deadly snow blizzard Jonas buried ‪#‎NYC‬ with 26.8 inches of snow and completely shut down the city. Travel bans were imposed to keep cars off the roads. Bridges and tunnels were also shut down on Saturday. Even railroads and MTA subway services were partially suspended. The Mayor advised businesses to shut down and send their employees home.

Even during the major snow storm, New York City is still very beautiful, only in a different way. Under the severe weather, I risked being stranded in the city to venture to Central Park for some perhaps once in a lifetime photo opportunity.

This is the Grand Army Plaza between the iconic Apple flagship store on Fifth Avenue
and the historic Plaza Hotel.

heading deep into the Central Park.

Apple flagship store on Fifth Avenue at night during the snow storm Jonas. Even they were closed due to the blizzard.

Bergdorf Goodman (left) and Plaza Hotel (right). What you can't see in this photo is the furious wind, constantly whipping across Fifth Avenue.

The famous Fifth Avenue completely buried in snow. Road ban was on. Generally one of the most crowded area, full of shoppers, tourists and cars, I've never seen it so empty!

This is how deep the snow was. Yes, I'm standing in the snow!

The day after the storm showed a different side of NYC.

I'm 12 years old again! Lol

My first snowman in Central Park from the snow blizzard last year : )

I walked by this scene near Central Park. Guess what's inside?

Answer: A car completely buried in snow! Lol

As if it wasn't cold enough, I even went home
and enjoyed a cup of a green tea ice cream that night.

Please noted that it is very dangerous to stay out during the snow storm. Snow blizzard Jonas has caused more than 30 deaths in the past three days. It is best to stay indoors and not risk going out in the storm.
